Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) recorded Consumer Price Index (IHK) in July to deflate by 0.1% MoM or inflation by 2.07% YoY. With that development, the ongoing year inflation from January to July 2020 is recorded at 0.98% YtD. Meanwhile, volatile food price’s decline of 1.19% was a contributor to the inflation. As for administered price recorded deflation of 0.07%. NHKSI Research sees an opening for nine economic sectors to increase supply. However, the policy to ease economic activities since the middle of June 2020, has not been accompanied by demands as an indicator of people’s purchasing power.
