The large-scale social restrictions and days ahead of Idul Fitri are factors to curb automotive sales. The Association of Indonesian Automotive Manufacturers (Gaikindo) revealed 4W sales in April 2020 declined by 90.6% to 7,871 units or lower than 84,056 units in April 2019.
The declines in April’s 4W sales aligned well with a 70% decrease in April’s 2W sales. Chairperson of the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) stated that 2W sales in 2002 will total 6.4 million units equal to 2019’s sales.
